PMS 2014 (Pakistan) announced

What is PMS / Introduction to PMS

PMS is an abbreviation of Provincial Management Services. This competitive exam is regularly held after a few years to fill different administrative posts in Punjab Province of Pakistan. The recruitment is held at the level of BPS-17. PMS is a major competitive examination held in Pakistan after CSS (Central Superior Services).  Unlike CSS exams, PMS is not held annually. Last time it was advertised in 2012.

Eligibility Criteria: The basic eligibility criteria include:

  • Domicile of Punjab
  • Age limit (21 to 28 Years)
  • Graduation/Bachelors Degree

PMS 2014

Posts: According to the advertisement of 11th May 2014, 29 posts are announced. 28 posts are in “Provincial Management Service (BS-17), Services & General Administration Department. While only 1 post is advertised for “Excise & Taxation Officer (BS-17), Excise & Taxation Department”.

PMS Application Procedure: There is a simple procedure for the candidates meeting the eligibility criteria. They just have to submit a fee of Rs. 700/- in Bank. Then they have to fill the online application form. So a quite simple procedure in contrast to CSS. Last date to apply is 2nd June 2014.

PMS Syllabus 2014: The written test will consist of paper from 9 subjects. 6 compulsory subjects and 3 optional subjects. They will carry 1200 marks in total. For clearing written portion of  PMS passing of every subject and to get 600 marks is compulsory. Candidates who pass through the written exams will give Psychological Test and Interview. It will consist of 200 marks (100 marks are passing limit).
