Musnad Abu Hanifa (R.A) is a collection of hadith by Imam Azam. Imam Azam is the title of Imam Abu Hanifa (R.A). He is first of the four Imams who practised jurisprudence in early days of Islam. He is the founder of Hanafi school of thought in Islam. Life events and history of Imam Abu Hanifa (R.A) are available in book Tazkira tul Auliya. The book also contains a brief history of Imam Sahib.
Overview of Musnad Abu Hanifa (R.A)
Musnad by Imam Azam (R.A) contains 523 hadith. Original work was in Arabic and was then translated into other languages. This post shares Urdu translated edition publication and also contains life events of the author as a prologue. This history contains detailed list of books written by Imam Azam (R.A). Then there are many chapters in the Musnad. Chapters categorize hadith of each topic under one head. Name of chapters are in Arabic and start with “Kitab”. For example, Kitab ul Ilm, Kitab ul Nikah, Kitab ul Som etc. Original hadith is written in Arabic alongwith its Urdu translation. Then there is an explanation of the hadith for the understanding of general readers.
So, along side Sihah Sitta Musnad Imam Azam Abu Hanifa (R.A) is also a source of hadith. As it contains many sayings of the Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H).
